Girls from Freedom, Little Chute, Kaukauna and Kimberly high schools met for a two-day leadership training, community education, and grantmaking program. The girls identified violence against women and girls and access to economic opportunities as issues important to them and their peers. At the end of the program, they awarded $10,000 in grants to the following programs:
- Christine Ann: Youth Advocacy and Prevention $2,500
- Family Services Parent Connection: Young Parent Conference $2,000
- Harbor House: Girls’ Empowerment Project $2,500
- Reach Counseling Services: Financial Futures $3,000
