We are strong alone, but unstoppable together. By hosting events, the Women’s Fund is able to advocate, educate, and bring issues that affect women and girls to the forefront.

By age 14, girls drop out of sports at twice the rate of boys, with 45% to 51% of female athletes quitting by the end of high school. Key drivers include, but are not limited to, low body confidence, lack of access, safety concerns, and intense academic pressure.
More Than the Medal, a female-student led event, will provide a FREE morning of coaching education from the Tucker Research Center for Girls to support coaches that coach or want to coach girls in sports. This training will help you gain an understanding of the best ways to coach girls. From body and mental confidence, to menstrual health, and creating a safe environment where female athletes can thrive, you can be the coach who makes the difference.
This program is supported through the Women’s Fund for the Fox Valley Region’s Girl-Powered Giving Program which gives high school aged girls access to philanthropy education, leadership skills, and confidence building training with support from the J. J. Keller Foundation.
