We don’t wait for change, we make it.
Happy Women’s History Month! This month recognizes the incredible history and achievements of women that are often over-looked in U.S. History. By celebrating Women’s History Month you’re spotlighting the achievements of women in our past, right now, and in the future.
Join us throughout the Fox Valley to celebrate this month by visiting the following businesses:
- Appleton Public Library: curated display of fiction and non-fiction adult books focusing on women’s history and the female experience.
- Appleton Area NOW: The Cost of Being a Woman event – March 14, 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Appleton Public Library
- Highlighting that women are often denied opportunities and paid less than men. In a town hall style listening session with local elected officials, participants will be able to share their experiences in small groups and in open discussion.
- Eroding Winds Record Shop: highlighting a collection of female artists during the month of March
- Mondo! on the River: promoting a woman-owned and female winemaker bottle of wine, Pedroncelli, for Women’s History Month
- Tardigrade’s Bookshelf: displaying women-authored books and promoting women-owned beverage companies
Do you have a Women’s History event you’re hosting? Email Stacie to share so we can help promote it.
