Let's Dish: Women Connect
March 4-11, 2010

Would you like to help area women and girls while having fun with your friends? Then Let's Dish is for you!

Help the Women's Fund to:

° Bring many small groups of women together to reflect on the needs of women and girls in the Fox Valley Region.

° Create greater awareness of the Women's Fund.

° Generate revenue for Women's Fund programming and grants.

We are asking our volunteers, donors, and supporters to host a party at their own expense for eight to ten of their friends the week of March 4-11, 2010. Hostesses can plan whatever type of event they enjoy: breakfast or dinner, cocktails or dessert, fun or fancy, at your home or out on the town. We will provide invitations, thank you notes, donor envelopes, a DVD to show about the work of the Women's Fund, and conversation starter ideas on topics related to women and girls in our community and beyond.

We want your Let's Dish party to be meaningful, and as simple as possible for you to plan. Just follow these easy steps:

Commit to hosting a party - Once you have decided that a Let's Dish party is for you, please complete our hostess commitment form. Hostesses that complete their form by December 31 will be entered into a drawing for two free seats to the September 9, 2010 Women's Fund luncheon, a $100 value!!

Attend our hostess event - Committed hostesses are invited to join us for a hostess orientation party on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the Melting Pot - 2295 W. College Avenue, Appleton. Meet other hostesses, learn about the Women's Fund, and receive your hostess bag with all the materials you need for your party: invitations, thank you notes, donor envelopes, etc. Chocolate fondue will be provided courtesy of the Melting Pot.

Set your party date - Before you decide on a date, check with those most likely to attend to make sure it works for them as well. A party may take place at breakfast, lunch or dinner...whatever time of the day works best for you and your friends. We do ask that the party takes place the week of March 4-11, 2010. For exceptions please call the Women's Fund at 830-1290.

Preview the Womens Fund DVD - We are fortunate to have had a professionally produced DVD donated to the Women's Fund. Narrated by Lisa Malak of WFRV-Channel 5, the DVD highlights three programs funded by the Women's Fund.

The DVD is a vital component of the event as it is our only opportunity to ensure that consistent and accurate information is provided to all event participants, regardless of which party they attend. Please be aware that the DVD includes a direct ask for financial support to the Women's Fund.

In 2009, 45 women hosted 26 parties throughout the Fox Valley with more than 350 women in attendance. Though the primary focus of Let's Dish was to raise awareness of the Women's Fund and women's and girls' issues, attendees donated over $11,400.

ANNUAL WOMEN'S FUND LUNCHEON

The Women's Fund and Community First Credit Union Presented the Ninth Women's Fund Luncheon on September 10, 2009.

Sincere thanks to the over 930 attendees that helped make our luncheon a success. With your help we raised over $148,000 for Women's Fund grants, education and advocacy! A special thank you to the J.J. Keller Foundation for their $10,000 new donor challenge gift.

The 10th Annual Luncheon will take place on September 9, 2010. More information on table and seat reservations will be available in the spring of 2010.
